    1976 was the first year that stickers were used to validate Texas license plates and the only year stickers were issued for separate categories.  It must have been a clerical nightmare for the folks at the county tag offices.  Starting in 1977, most types used "universal" stickers.
    These are "new old stock" unused stickers.
